Congregational Goals for 2023-2024
- As a congregation, we commit to supporting families, in all their incarnations, with emphasis on families with children and youth in RE and on intergenerational relationships by creating, maintaining, and strengthening appropriate programs.
- Facing challenging financial times after the building of the Hub followed by the pandemic, it is necessary that all Chalice congregants deeply understand and participate in creating a sustainable and generous financial environment.
- Our commitment is to support our anti-racist work and the building of a beloved multicultural community. We will use existing and additional resources to encourage the reconciliation and expansion of involvement among all groups and congregants.
Congregational Goals for 2022-2023
- To more fully live our UU values in our journey toward wholeness, we commit to explore ways within our congregation to become a greater source of nourishment for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). At a minimum we want our white congregants not to marginalize our BIPOC congregants. More purposeful work may focus on encouraging internal congregation dialogue and self reflection on issues such as structural racism, white supremacy practices and anti-oppression work.
- As we transition back to face-to-face gatherings, our goal is to continue to provide online accessibility of our worship, meetings, events and activities while also embracing the power and comfort of being physically present in community.
Congregational Goals for 2021-2022
- To more fully live our UU values in our journey toward wholeness, we commit to explore ways within our congregation to become a greater source of nourishment for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). At a minimum, we want our white congregants not to marginalize our BIPOC congregants. More purposeful work may focus on changing internal congregation dialogue to include structural racism, white nationalism and dismantling white supremacy.
- As we transition back to face-to-face gatherings, our goal is to continue to increase the online accessibility of our worship, meetings, events, and activities, so that “online membership” is a meaningful possibility.
Congregational Goals for 2020-2021
- Strengthen the ways in which congregants offer care and support to each other.
- Increase financial support for Chalice’s operating budget, including pledging, congregation-wide fun(d)raising activities, and funding from outside the congregation.
Congregational Goals for 2019-2020
- Create well-designed, attractive and welcoming classroom and meeting spaces and outdoor play spaces
- Investigate additional fundraising sources and activities
Congregational Goals for 2018-2019
- Improve congregation-wide support for current and arriving families with minor children.
- Ensure every Chalice member is a knowledgeable ambassador about the renovation project.
Five-Year Plan (2018-2023):
- Increase the number and diversity of congregational participants, including families and people of all ages: and expand the facilities and grounds.
- Enhance programs and ministries that nurture congregants’ spirits within a caring community.
- Become increasingly active with local social justice, community service and human rights organizations.
- Place more emphasis on religious education programs for children and for adults.
- Foster increased music, performance and other creative endeavors.
